Students love The Magic School Bus. I am not quite clear on if I am in violation of copyright laws here or not. Am I in violation because I downloaded the full video and technically anyone on the Internet can find it and view it? I know that if I put it on a flipchart to be shown just to my class that it is OK because it is not on a public site. Let me know quick so I can delete it if it's a violation. Don't want the video police to come knocking at my door.

I'm not really sure what the law provides. I know that on You Tube, people post shows in their entirety, often adding a thing at the beginning that says something like, "This is not something I created. I am not profiting from it in any way, etc." We were watching the original Star Trek series on You Tube after somebody posted it, but eventually it disappeared, even though the guy who'd put it up had disclaimers on it. One episode of Magic School Bus on your blog probably isn't going to rub anybody the wrong way. Did you use keepvid.com to make your copy and then upload it?

One more question, which I'm also going to send to you and the other second-grade teachers as an e-mail: at what time in the year does second grade study insects? I'd love to collaborate with y'all by timing an insect art project in the same semester you're doing bugs.
